Things Could Be Different
Re-imagining our experience of fashion within cultures of consumption
Our consumption habits and our relationship to our clothing are having a detrimental effect on the planet, our mental health and our
well-being. We are advertised clothing through every possible channel in a culture of consumption that only benefits those at the top of the fashion food chain. How do we challenge this culture, giving control back to citizens to make informed decisions about the relationship they have with their clothing?
‘Things Could Be Different’ imagines a new way of experiencing fashion. A free to access, open-source platform for sustainable clothing consumption and education that focuses on learning through storytelling, creativity and collective participation. The platform doesn’t aim to be a final answer on sustainable shopping, but rather a catalyst for collaboration, discussion and interaction.
